Project 365
2025 - Issue #15
This post was a challenge to write. At first I wrote about the pleasures of film photography. Initially I was happy with the three paragraphs I had written, but when I came back later and reread them they sounded like blah, blah, blah - Who cares.
Who needs to read another post on the pleasures of film photography?!
Then, upon looking at all the photos I was sharing this time around, I discovered that they all had a feeling of solitude, so I wrote about that. I wrote about how solitude doesn’t have to mean loneliness. I wrote about how alone time is needed to recharge when you’re an introvert. And although all that may be true, it was still sounding like blah, blah, blah - Who cares.
So, instead of trying to contrive something to write about, I’ll just tell you that there’s no deep meaning to this set of photos. Yes, I shot them on film and yes they’re all of solitary subjects, but that’s it. No deep and profound message. The photos are what they are, shot in my suburban surroundings.
I could probably do a project just with all the shopping cart photos I’ve taken.
All photos were taken with a 1958 Minolta Autocord twin lens on Kodak Gold 200.

I appreciate you letting the images speak — and I enjoyed what they had to say. 😉 Nice set.
Very relatable introduction :)
Sometimes we try to find meaning where there isn't and sometimes we downplay meaning when it is there
