Project 365
2025 - Issue #27
If you’ve been reading my posts for any length of time, you know that my photography centers around the everyday. My photography has become a visual diary of sorts. You can track my daily movements by what the images show.
On this day, I accompanied my husband to the local nursery. He’s the gardener in the family. While he was looking for plants, I was looking for interesting lighting.
Living close to the coast guarantees that beach strolls are a common occurrence. I tried some double exposures and some long exposures. This one was the only one that I’m somewhat happy with.
Other days, I try to spot photo worthy moments as I get errands done. This ax throwing truck is something people actually rent for parties! Really!?
I often drive around the sides and backs of the buildings I’m visiting. These overlooked areas are often the most interesting.
Another place I like to frequent is the local farmer’s market on Thursday afternoons.
There’s also a nearby harbor we like to visit. On this particular day there was live music and chalk painting happening. Had I known, I would have taken a camera loaded with color film!
I particularly like how it looks like this man is photographing his water bottle.
This artist’s work was so vibrant. Here it is in color.
The color photos were shot on Kodak Ektar 100 and the black and white were shot on Kodak Tri-X 400. I combined the two rolls in one post since I got so few passable shots from each roll. Sometimes I think that instead of getting better with my photography, I’m getting worse. Daily practice is adding to my quantity, but is it helping my quality? Doubt and frustration abound!
